User Involvement

Young Leaders, Young Ambassadors and Parents/Carers

Our Young Leaders scheme
This scheme empowers young people who have worked with us in the community or at school, to get involved in improving the local mental health experience for other young people and their families.

As Young Leaders, there are opportunities to be involved in recruiting senior staff, reporting to the Board of Trustees, improving the environment for sessions, changes to the website and, creating resource materials e.g. leaflets & videos.

Being a Young Leader typically involves meeting with other young people to decide on what can be improved.

There are opportunities for learning new skills, for training and for making friends. If you are over 18, you can still get involved as a Young Ambassador.

Being involved with our Charity in this way would look great on your CV when you are applying for jobs!

Parent/Carer Trustee
The parent/carer voice is essential too and we have a parent/carer representative on the Board of Trustees, who challenges us to involve children, young people, their carers and parents in the decision-making about their care.

If you wish to take an active role in building a service that is collaborative, shaped by your experience, and grows because of the input of your ideas, then you can get involved in several ways:

• Tell your practitioner
• Set up a meeting at school
• Complete our simple feedback survey
• Email us [email protected]
