Turning Awareness Into Action Across Bromley

Bromley Y is proud to support Mental Health Awareness Week 11-15 May, 2026 and takes action every single weekday for the children and young people of Bromley.

This year, the Mental Health Foundation reminds us that “while awareness is vital, real change comes when we take action too.” That message reflects exactly how our teams work across the borough.

🌱 Taking Action in Bromley Schools

Our Mental Health Support Teams champion a Whole School Approach to emotional wellbeing and resilience building.

We work with:

  • Parents and carers
  • School professionals
  • Children and young people

Together, we build understanding, reduce stigma, and create environments where wellbeing is everyone’s responsibility.

We also provide support meetings for students through their school pastoral care teams, ensuring help is accessible where young people already are.

🌱 Taking Action Through Education & Prevention

Every month, we run FREE webinars for parents/carers and young people. These sessions focus on building resilience, increasing understanding, and ensuring families know they are not alone in supporting emotional wellbeing.

We also offer parent/carer support calls and training or student advice meetings for school professionals – because supporting those who support young people is essential.

🌱 Taking Action Through Direct Support

Bromley Y provides FREE 1:1 support for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate emotional wellbeing difficulties.

Referrals can be made via our Refer Now page.

🌱 Taking Action Across the Community

We actively attend and support mental health and emotional wellbeing events across Bromley – collaborating with partners to strengthen community-wide action.
